The Midwest Transportation Workforce Center (MTWC) is offering scholarships to attend the Midwest Transportation Workforce Summit: Addressing the Future Now! to be held in Madison, Wisconsin on December 7-8, 2015.

The Summit will convene transportation stakeholders to learn about best practices in developing a workforce in the field of transportation. Industry, labor organizations, community based organizations, state departments of transportation, and educators are essential partners in ensuring that there is a pipeline of talent to the transportation sector. Jobs in transportation require skills that can be developed in numerous ways. A critical part of workforce development is career awareness and exposure to transportation in the K-12 space.

At the Summit, you’ll hear about how technology will revolutionize the transportation system, successful partnerships between stakeholders, and efforts to reach underserved populations among many other topics.

We invite middle and high school teachers to have a voice at the Summit, to share your work or ideas with an audience of transportation stakeholders from nine states in the Midwest. We are interested in innovative practices that you have undertaken in your school.
